Emilio Corigliano

Ph.D. Student

Politecnico di Milano

Emilio Corigliano earned his B.Sc. in Ingegneria Informatica and his M.Sc. cum laude in Computer Science and Engineering from Politecnico di Milano, respectively in September 2021 and April 2025.

Between 2020 and 2025, he was an active member of Skyward Experimental Rocketry, a student association at Politecnico di Milano dedicated to designing, building, and launching experimental sounding rockets. During his time with the team, he contributed to the development of mission-critical embedded flight software, working on components such as device and sensor drivers, the integration of control algorithms, and the creation of a Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) testing framework.

Currently, he is a Ph.D. student at Politecnico di Milano. His research focuses on hardening critical and mixed-criticality software systems against transient faults. In particular, he explores the enhancement of compiler-based mitigation techniques such as Software-Implemented Hardware Fault Tolerance (SIHFT) and their applicability in real-world applications.
